A tragic accident occurred at a construction site in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood on Tuesday morning. A 33-year-old man lost his life, and a 26-year-old man was hospitalized after coming into contact with a live electrical line.
What Happened?
The two men were working on a crane lift at a construction site on the city’s West Side when the older worker accidentally touched a power line. The strong electric shock killed him instantly.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but the 33-year-old man was pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released his name.
Injured Worker Taken to Hospital
The 26-year-old worker, who was also on the crane lift, was injured in the incident. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was initially listed in good condition.
