Tacoma, WA – Police have arrested two teenage suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy that occurred in September 2024. The arrests mark a significant development in the months-long investigation.
Seattle police apprehended a 17-year-old suspect on February 19, 2025. He was booked into Remann Hall on charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Shortly after, on March 1, Auburn police arrested a 16-year-old suspect, who was also booked for first-degree murder.
Authorities confirmed that no additional suspects are being sought at this time, but the case remains under active investigation.
The tragic incident took place on September 14, 2024, when Tacoma police responded to reports of a shooting at a home near East 67th Street and East M Street around 4 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered the 15-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the teen succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The shocking crime left the Tacoma community in mourning, prompting widespread concern over youth violence and gun-related crimes. Police have not yet disclosed a possible motive for the shooting.
