A tragic discovery on Interstate 95 in Northeast Miami-Dade has left the community searching for answers. Miami-Dade Police have identified the woman found dead on the roadside early Saturday morning as 21-year-old Nahomi Valentina Cittadini, who was just weeks away from celebrating her 22nd birthday.
Authorities received multiple calls around 6 a.m. from drivers reporting a heated argument between two people near Northwest 203rd Street, off Ives Dairy Road. By the time Florida Highway Patrol officers arrived, they found Cittadini’s lifeless body on the ground.
Detective Luis Sierra from Miami-Dade Police described the scene, revealing that Cittadini was found undressed, with a piece of clothing lying nearby. “There’s clothing next to her body, but we’re not sure exactly how it was removed,” he said.
Officers and detectives spent hours combing the area for clues, marking evidence, and piecing together what might have happened. Forensic teams worked along the northbound lanes, causing temporary traffic disruptions.
“It’s difficult right now to determine what caused her injuries,” Detective Sierra said. “This is an active homicide investigation, and detectives are doing everything they can to figure out how this tragedy unfolded.”
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to uncover the truth behind Cittadini’s death. Her untimely passing has left many shaken, and her family and friends are now mourning a life that ended far too soon.
