Authorities in Portland are looking into a tragic discovery after a body was found floating in the Willamette River late Sunday morning.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene near the Morrison Bridge just after 11:30 a.m. when someone reported seeing a body in the water. A boat from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office recovered the remains and transported them to the medical examiner for further investigation.
At this time, officials haven’t shared the identity of the person or the cause of death.
