A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a Grayson County woman who had just won big at a casino.
Earlier this month, Dillon Winchester, Shawn Gravette, and Paige Sancho allegedly lured the woman to a home in Southmayd, Texas, where they robbed her at gunpoint. While the three suspects were quickly taken into custody, Stephan Sancho remained on the run—until now.
Southmayd Police Chief Jeff Laughlin revealed that officers discovered a trapdoor hidden inside a bedroom closet, leading them to believe Sancho had been hiding in the woods or underneath a manufactured home to evade capture.
Sherman Police ultimately arrested Sancho, and he is now being held at the Grayson County Jail.
This arrest marks the final suspect in a case that has shocked the local community. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was targeted after her casino winnings became known. Authorities have not yet released further details about possible charges or court proceedings for the four suspects.
Residents are relieved to see all individuals involved in the crime brought to justice, while police continue to urge vigilance when handling large sums of cash.
This is a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
