The U.S. Postal Service is offering a big reward—$100,000—for anyone who can help them catch a man who dressed up as a mail carrier to steal mail in Chicago’s Loop area.
Back in December, this man managed to swipe mail from an office building in the heart of the Loop. As if that wasn’t bold enough, he showed up again this month, still dressed like a postal worker, and tried to do the same thing at another office building nearby. The Postal Inspection Service shared this information on Tuesday but didn’t mention the specific buildings where these incidents happened.
Now, investigators are asking for help. If you know anything about this case or recognize who might be behind it, they want you to call (877) 876-2455.
This is a serious crime, but the Postal Service is determined to get to the bottom of it—and they’re willing to pay big money to make it happen.
