The Adamawa State Police have arrested four robbery suspects in a recent operation.
The suspects are believed to be part of a group known as the “Shila Boys,” a group of young people notorious for robbing locals in broad daylight. Armed with knives, they steal things like phones, cash, and other small valuables from residents.
The police found the suspects in Mubi, a busy town about 194 kilometers north of the state capital, Yola. During the operation, officers recovered weapons from the suspects.
The arrested suspects, aged between 22 and 24, are from different areas in Mubi South and Mubi North LGAs. The police worked with other security agencies to carry out the raid.
The four suspects are:
- Adamu Halidu, 22, from Yelwa, Mubi North
- Ahmed Ibrahim, 23, from Lukuwa Ward, Mubi North
- Sa’adu Haruna, 24, from Tashan Gyela, Mubi South
- Ahmed Haruna, 23, from Nasarawo, Mubi South
