December 4, 2024—Chicago authorities have arrested 28-year-old Traivon Dorsey, charging him with a series of burglaries targeting bars and restaurants across the city. Dorsey, previously convicted for similar offenses, is accused of stealing over $85,000 worth of alcohol from three River North establishments.
Recent Charges
Dorsey faces multiple counts of burglary following incidents where he allegedly stole:
- Radio Room (400 North State): 21 bottles of champagne valued at $5,295 on December 14, 2021.
- Moe’s Cantina (155 West Kinzie): Liquor worth $28,000 on December 25, 2021.
- Fremont (15 West Illinois): Alcohol valued at $51,700 on January 5, 2022.
These charges come after Dorsey pleaded guilty in December 2023 to burglaries involving the theft of $85,000 worth of alcohol from the aforementioned venues. He received a four-year sentence but, with good behavior and time served, was released earlier this year.
Previous Convictions
Dorsey’s criminal history includes:
- 2016: Theft conviction.
- 2012-2013: Three residential burglary convictions.
As a juvenile, he was adjudicated delinquent for theft in 2011, burglary in 2010, and aggravated battery in 2008.
