A man wanted in Texas has been caught and charged in Georgia after a tragic carjacking incident that claimed the life of a 70-year-old man. Authorities say 19-year-old Jaylen Mosley, who was already on the run for charges in Harris County, Texas, is accused of shooting and killing the elderly man during an attempted car theft on Saturday night.

The horrifying event unfolded on the 2100 block of Metropolitan Parkway in Atlanta, a busy commercial area. Police were called to the scene around 6:40 p.m., where they found the injured victim. The man was rushed to a local hospital, but sadly, he didn’t survive.

Just after the attack, Atlanta Police managed to track down Mosley and take him into custody. He’s now facing several serious charges, including murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and hijacking a motor vehicle. Mosley is also accused of having a firearm while committing a felony.

The suspect is currently being held at the Fulton County Jail as the investigation continues. This tragic event serves as a grim reminder of the dangers of violent crime and the impact it has on innocent lives.
