Maringouin, Louisiana – Authorities in Iberville Parish are asking for the public’s help in finding a man linked to a murder-for-hire plot that claimed the life of an elderly man.
The suspect, Javadda Lewis, 32, from Edwards, Mississippi, is wanted on several charges, including second-degree murder, solicitation for murder, criminal conspiracy, aggravated burglary, and obstruction of justice.
This case dates back to late August 2024, when 65-year-old Herman Harris was tragically shot and killed in what investigators believe was a planned murder-for-hire scheme. According to officials, Lewis is one of four suspects accused of being involved in this chilling crime.
In September 2024, three of the suspects—Rilonda Brooks, David Brooks Jr., and Johnnie Hicks—were arrested. However, Lewis managed to elude capture and has been on the run since then. Authorities are determined to bring him to justice and are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
If you know where Javadda Lewis might be, you can help by reaching out to Crime Stoppers. You can call them at 225-344-7867, use the P3 Tips app, or visit their website. The good news is that you’ll remain completely anonymous, and there’s even a chance to earn a cash reward for your tip.
This is a heartbreaking case, and the authorities are counting on the community to help solve it. Let’s hope justice for Herman Harris and his loved ones is served soon.
